The Humane Society of Houston County Georgia is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to reducing the number of homeless, abandoned and abused animals and the associated high euthanasia rate. Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and we welcome your willingness to help us give these animals a chance for a better life. Once you have submitted this registration form, an Humane Society HoCo representative will be in contact with you by email or phone usually within 5-7 days.

  • Minimum unaccompanied volunteer age is 16. Under 16 must have parent or adult guardian present to be a youth volunteer. Applicants 16 – 17 years old must fill out a Permission and Release Youth Volunteer Form and have adult parent or legal guardian sign.

  • By submitting this form I am acknowledging that I understand my participation with Humane Society of Houston County, Inc is on a volunteer basis. Although HSHoCo maintains a safe environment for volunteers, I acknowledge that there are risks associated with working with animals including, but not limited to bites, scratches, and allergic reactions. In addition, the undersigned expressly acknowledges such risks and further agrees to hold HSHoCo harmless and release HSHoCo from any and all claims for potential injury and/or liability that might arise out of being exposed to such risks.
